We are requesting a change in required courses to reflect changing market demands and upcoming revisions to the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination. Based upon feedback from employers, beginning in 2024, the CPA Exam will include testing of data analytics in accounting, auditing, taxation, and cost accounting; also, changes include a reduction in the area of finance. To reflect the changes in market demands and the CPA Exam, we would like to require a course in Data Analytics in Accounting (ACCT525) in place of FIN535, such that Finance 535 could be completed as one of two electives in the MAcc program, rather than as a required course.

The Master of Accountancy program provides the advanced accounting knowledge and skills necessary to prepare students for successful entry into public accounting and successful completion of the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination.
